I effectively ran and led the first Cybersecurity Forum in Iraq in 2025. Researchers, students, ethical hackers, and cybersecurity experts came together on this platform to work together, exchange knowledge, and engage in competition.
The forum's major accomplishments include: arranging and hosting **Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions** at the national level, involving elite talent in actual cyber challenges, conducted live training sessions and workshops on subjects like cloud security, threat analysis, secure coding, and ethical hacking.created a platform for scholarly cybersecurity research, where participants collaborate on technical papers and publish original research.established a cooperative and welcoming atmosphere that encouraged information exchange, career advancement, and mentoring in the cybersecurity industry.
In addition to advancing the local cybersecurity community, this project established a new benchmark for professional involvement and cyber education in the area.
I founded and currently lead the first dedicated Cybersecurity Academy in Kurdistan, established in 2024. The academy was created to fill a critical gap in cybersecurity education by providing in-person, structured, and practical training for students, professionals, and aspiring ethical hackers.
The academy’s core achievements include: developing hands-on training programs in areas such as ethical hacking, network security, secure coding, cloud security, and digital forensics; organizing live classroom workshops and labs led by industry professionals; preparing learners for global certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, and CISSP; and creating a supportive learning environment focused on real-world skills and career readiness.
This initiative marks a significant milestone for cybersecurity development in the region—empowering the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and establishing Kurdistan as an emerging hub for cyber talent and education.
